Munnar is a popular hill station in Kerala, known for its tea estates, greenery, winding roads, misty views, and viewpoints. It is situated in the Idukki district in the Western Ghats and is one of the most sought-after travel destinations globally, particularly for honeymooners. Munnar, once the summer resort of the British government, boasts of its sprawling tea plantations and exotic flora and fauna that are best explored.

The Eravikulam National Park, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and tea plantations are some of the major attractions. Echo Point, Munnar: This place is situated at an altitude of 600 ft. and 15 km from Munnar. It is famous for its illustration of the phenomenon of echoing, where you can hear your voice reverberate around the attraction.

Atukkad Waterfalls: Atukkad, a pristine waterfall, can be found nestled amidst the beautiful hills and lush green jungles, just 2 km away from Munnar. The road leading to Atukkad may be narrow, but with experience, it's a breeze to drive on. The pool formed at the base of the waterfall is perfect for taking a refreshing dip!

Munnar Tea Plantations: If you're planning to visit Munnar, you simply cannot miss out on the breathtaking tea gardens. With their enchanting beauty and vast stretches of lush green fields nestled amidst misty skies, these gardens are an absolute must-visit for every traveler.

Tata Tea Museum (KDHP Museum): The museum is conveniently situated within the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea, just about 2 kilometers away from Munnar. It boasts an impressive collection of antiquities, including a burial urn that was excavated from the Periakanal Estate and dates back to the 2nd century AD.

Eravikulam National Park: This UNESCO world heritage site is located a 45-minute drive away from Munnar. The region boasts a diverse range of animal species, including but not limited to the majestic elephant, the agile Nilgirilangur, the elusive Nilgiri marten, the impressive Atlas moth (the largest in the world), the charming lion-tailed macaque, the playful small-clawed otter, and, if you're lucky, a rare sighting of a majestic tiger or leopard.

Rose Garden Munnar: Spread over 2 acres of land, the Rose Gardens of Munnar is an excellent stretch that is brimming with various plants, including spices, crops like cardamom and vanilla, and a variety of fruit trees. These agricultural plantations exude mesmerising and wonderful aromas, making your stay at the gardens a rewarding experience.
