Faridabad Sightseeing

Faridabad is named after the 12th-century Sufi saint Sheikh Farid. The city has a rich history, dating back to the 10th century when the Tomar dynasty built the Surajkund, an artificial lake that is now a popular tourist destination.

Here are some of the things you can see and do in Faridabad:

Surajkund: This 10th-century reservoir is a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The lake is surrounded by gardens and a walking path, and there is also a boathouse where you can rent paddleboats. During the month of February, Surajkund Mela, a crafts fair showcasing traditional Indian crafts from all over the country, is held here.

Baba Farid's Tomb: This tomb is dedicated to the Sufi saint Sheikh Farid, who is believed to have founded the city. The tomb is a beautiful example of Mughal architecture and is a popular pilgrimage site for Muslims.

Crown Interiorz Mall or the Crown Plaza Mall: These malls offer a variety of Indian and international brands, as well as restaurants and cinemas.

Aravali Golf Course: This 18-hole golf course is located in the foothills of the Aravalli Hills and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Even if you're not a golfer, the course is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
