Unakoti Sightseeing

With several stone sculptures and monuments, Unakoti has been a heritage site of Tripura that welcomes tourists throughout the year. The word Unakoti is a word from the Kokborok language which means one less to crore which was given in Hindu mythical scriptures.

It was believed that lord Shiva once resided in this place where 99, 99, and 999 gods followed him. The place is also a sacred site and attracts Hindu devotes from all over the world. Due to its mythic tales and astonishing beauty, the site has also been recognized on the list of world heritage sites by UNESCO.
