The city holds significant historical importance, and after Berhampur, it is the second-largest city of south Odisha. Locally known as 'Joypur', the literal meaning of Jayepore is 'City of Victory.' Visiting Jayepore is an excellent opportunity for tourists to take a break from their hectic city life and immerse themselves in the tranquility of this beautiful city.
Bagara Waterfall: Bagara Waterfall is a beautiful place where water falls from a height of 30 feet into the Kolaban River. It's a favorite spot for picnics because of its lovely scenery.
Kolab Hydro Electric Power Reservoir and Botanical Garden: The Kolab reservoir is high up in the mountains and makes electricity from water. Nearby, there's a Botanical Garden with lots of different flowers.
Sunabeda: Sunabeda is a town in Odisha with lush valleys and a factory that makes engines for planes. It's a nice drive on Highway 43 to get there because of the pretty views.
