Located in the north-eastern part of India, in the districts of Golaghat and Nagoan in the state of Assam, this wildlife sanctuary was established in the year 1904. After almost 68 years, it was officially declared a National Park, a well-deserved recognition of its beauty and significance.
The Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park: The Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park is located just 2 km away from the Central Range of Kaziranga, Kohora Chariali. It's a huge park that covers around 6 acres of land in the Durgapur village. The park is considered to be the largest orchid park in the Northeast belt of India and has increased the glory of Kaziranga. The Orchid Park boasts an impressive collection of over 500 varieties of wild orchids, as well as 132 species of sour fruits and leafy vegetables, 46 species of bamboo, 12 species of cane, and a diverse range of local fish species.
Orang National Park: Orang National Park, also known as the mini Kaziranga National Park, is situated in the Darrang and Sonitpur districts of Assam, around 100 km away from the Kaziranga National Park. The park is spread over an area of around 79 sq km and is highly enriched with wildlife, including one-horned rhinos, tigers, elephants, leopards, deer, sambar and many others. The park is also a famous spot for bird watching because many exotic migratory birds and domestic birds visit here.

The Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary : The Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary is a natural habitat for varied wildlife. The wildlife sanctuary is blessed with several lush green trees and many shrubs and herb plants. Apart from these, various avian species are also spotted here, some of which can be named as Red Jungle fowl, Kalij Pheasant, Red Breasted Parakeet, Spotted dove, and the Drongo Cuckoo.
