Bumla Pass Sightseeing

Bum La Pass, situated at an elevation of 5,000 m above sea level, is an iconic spot that marks the Indo-China border. A visit to this place is a must, but only with a special permit obtained from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District, and then the Indian army cantonment of Tawang.

The sight of soldiers guarding the border in such a nerve-wracking weather condition evokes a strong feeling of patriotism. Moreover, it was through this pass that the Dalai Lama entered India.
